The non-profit MINCE2 Foundation (in Dutch speaking countries it is called the Stichting MINCE2) owns the MINCE model and its perspective on organizations. Because of this non-profit perspective of the MINCE2 Foundation, the independent further development and maintenance of the model is properly addressed.

The MINCE model (the acronym translates to Maturity INcrements IN Controlled Environments) allows to: accurately determinate organizational maturity; report the outcomes of the measurement in a standardized report; describe steps to undertake in order to improve the maturity level.
